Our latest product comes from years of struggling with those pesky paper lawn leaf bags for yard cleanup. From even small sticks tearing holes to not even being able to keep the bag upright to fill we knew there had to be a better way. So we used our years of experience making cardboard products and began working on a design that would solve those problems. After two years we have this design which we use ourselves and believe it to make the yard maintenance chore more manageable. Reusable, recyclable and biodegradable we have taken care in the lengths of manufacture and materials to make the best possible product for us the users and our planet.
Starting with the design we made the bottom a "speedy open" that pops into place and requires no tape or adhesive. The bottom creates a firm base for the box to stand up easily while filling. The volume provides further options at 41 Gallons open(37 inches tall) or 30 gallons closed (29 inches tall) making our box stackable even. Large sticks and limbs even can be held by the box. 35 pounds max. wt. recommended. Our box is marked in pixelated water based black ink to further promote compostability as per USDA recommendations of black ink only for composting. We further incorporated strategic side holes to promote aeration which increases the biodegradability allowing air and insects to quickly and easily begin their work. Perforations on the flaps allow "Brown material" to further mix with grass for composting, as our box holds four standard grass catcher loads at 30 gallon capacity.
Our Lawn Leaf box is clearly marked for lawn collection crews to identify it's contents allowing them to take the box and or just the contents if desired. Some customers report marking the exterior with "Please Empty but Do Not Take Box" so that they can use it over and over.
